I am Stas Gorelik, a graduate of George Washington University, where I earned a PhD in political science.

My research focuses on ostensibly legal and subtle forms of electoral and public opinion manipulation.

As part of this agenda, I have examined voter reactions to candidate disqualifications in Russia and the electoral performance of namesake candidates in Ukraine.

Currently, I am also working on a project examining the relationship between mobile internet shutdowns in Russia and public opinion, including attitudes toward the Russo-Ukrainian war.

I also have experience collecting and analyzing data for projects on online propaganda and disinformation in Belarus, as well as elite networks in Russia.

As a teacher, I have recently designed online political science courses featuring professors from universities such as UC Berkeley, Harvard, and Oxford, and have moderated seminars within these courses (see this sample course program).
